The Chicago Steampunk Exposition shall be hosting two afternoon High Tea special events during the convention.
- Saturday High Tea – 3PM in the Michigan Ballroom
- Sunday High Tea – 3PM in the Michigan Ballroom
Both will serve a variety of teas such as English Breakfast, Earl Grey, and Darjeeling, and are accompanied by British scone with jam and clotted cream, cucumber sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, petit fours, mini eclairs, lemon tartlets, and a cup of fruit.
In addition to the fine company of your fellow tea drinkers at your table, the High Teas will also feature tea related presentations.
The Michigan Ballroom will also be host to the Burnham Banquet (6PM Friday) which in honor of Daniel Burham, architect of Chicago’s 1893 Exposition, will feature a Taste of Chicago menu, and have dinner theatre entertainment. The British Banquet (6PM Saturday) will also have entertainment as you enjoy a menu of traditional British foods. More details of both coming soon.
Some tickets are still available and will be available for sale at the Exposition Registration Desk near Higgins; tickets are $28 per person.
