Come learn hands on from a team of blacksmiths and re-enactors!
Explore a timeline of both European and Asian armors, how they were built, how they changed over time, and the various films and games that draw on them as a reference.
Attendees will also be able to handle assorted pieces of armor from the team.
Mayari Marcial teaches blacksmithing at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. They’ve been on TV as a Kingsguard in Game of Thrones, and an action director for medieval specials with Milwaukee PBS. They’ve also been sword fighting for ten years, with two years of experience in Buhurt Armored Combat.
