The Mysteries of H.H. Holmes Explained
The mysteries surrounding H.H. Holmes, America’s first serial killer, have become so intwined with the mythos of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, that it was inevitable that some of our programming would focus on this shadowy side of Chicago history. This September, to guide our journey through this darkness, we are honored to have John Borowski join us a featured speaker.
John Borowski is an award winning independent filmmaker and author whose film works have garnered international acclaim and are distributed internationally on dvd, television, and streaming. Borowski’s “historical horror” trilogy of documentary films focus on late nineteenth and early twentieth century serial killers. His 2012 documentary HH Holmes has aired several times on PBS, and September 2019, Borowski will share his knowledge of the 1893 Columbian Exposition’s notorious serial killer.
