Great Plans are Afoot at the Exposition!
With 27 weeks left to go before the opening of the inaugural Chicago Steampunk Exposition, almost just half a year left to go, work is constantly underway to bring together great presenters, fantastic entertainers, wonderful vendors, and an array of other fun things to do at the show. This week is another one of those vague “awesome things are happening, but we can’t quite announce it yet” kind of weeks. We apologize for having just teasers this week, but in the last few days we have been in talks with publishers with regards to the Retro-Futurist Writers’ Conference at the Exposition, and have been in talks with the booking agent for an actor who is part of an exciting new Steampunk movie adaptation. Ah, it’s hard to not let it all slip, but the good news is that in the next couple of weeks we will be able to “spill the beans” on all these exciting new developments 🙂
There are many ways that you can be a part of the Chicago Steampunk Exposition. We have a few spots left in the vendor hall, Artists’ Alley, and Authors’ Alley; to learn more click HERE. Or perhaps you would like to share your knowledge and present a panel or workshop? In addition to Steampunk programming, we are also looking for experts in Dieselpunk, Victorian Gothic, Doctor Who, Lolita, and other retro-futuristic related topics. If you would like to submit a proposal to present, please click HERE to learn more. And of course, we are always looking for Volunteers to help run the Exposition; a convention is only as strong as its team of volunteers. So if you would like to join the crew, please click HERE to learn more and apply. If you have not done so already, please RSVP to the actual Chicago Steampunk Exposition Event Page HERE to help keep you up to date on all the latest Exposition news.
