Ladies and Gentlemen! We have now entered an exciting chapter of our countdown to the inaugural Chicago Steampunk Exposition, and in the coming weeks we shall begin to reveal more and more things, more updates than can be handled by just one weekly update! 


The Steampunk Adventures of Salem Tusk

Have you been following the exciting new project to adapt The Steampunk Adventures of Salem Tusk comic book into a TV series? We certainly have and are currently in talks with Bishop Stevens (pictured left), who plays the title character of Salem Tusk, for him to join us at the Exposition. 

The story is set in the late 19th century, a secret alliance between the United States and United Kingdom has created CI-6, which is a covert organization of operatives led by Salem Tusk. Tusk and his unique band of agents battle megalomaniacal mad men, steam powered robots, voodoo kings, Arabian sorcerers, and time traveling dinosaurs.

This new Steampunk TV series in development from Marvel comics artist/ series creator Tom Rasch and Salem Tusk star Bishop Stevens. It was recently announced that Montalvo Media and 36O Studios of London, England and Los Angeles, California, have picked up The Steampunk Adventures of Salem Tusk, to be developed as a 90min prologue feature film and a series of made for TV episodes. Montalvo/360 executives have been involved with films and TV shows like: Kill Bill 1 & 2, Hustle & Flow, American Gods, and Now You See Me.

There are many ways that you can be a part of the Chicago Steampunk Exposition. We have a few spots left in the vendor hall, Artists’ Alley, and Authors’ Alley; to learn more click HERE. Or perhaps you would like to share your knowledge and present a panel or workshop? In addition to Steampunk programming, we are also looking for experts in Dieselpunk, Victorian Gothic, Doctor Who, Lolita, and other retro-futuristic related topics. And of course, we are always looking for Volunteers to help run the Exposition; a convention is only as strong as its team of volunteers. If you are planning on vending at the Exposition, we have a separate block of rooms reserved for you. Upon acceptance to the show and settlement of vendor fees, details and instructions for booking a room in the Vendor Block will be emailed to you.
